I watched some 1990s Louis C.K. standup recently and it was soooo mediocre schticky. Now he’s the funniest man on earth. Just goes to show: the soup’s ready when it’s ready.

Roger Ebert was pretty much the last readable film critic out there. No chip on the shoulder, no pretension. If he brutalized your movie, you damn well deserved it. We’ll miss you Roger!
